David Afolayan is the Co-founder and Content Chief at Technext. He is a journalist, editor, and communications specialist with a long-standing background in writing, content strategy, event planning and execution, and media production.

David co-founded Technext seven years ago alongside two friends (Anderson Ozakpo, COO, and Famous Ehichioya, CTO) to provide technology news and analysis that will tell the African tech narrative in a language everyone can understand.  Today, with over 500,000 monthly impressions and over 90,000 newsletter subscribers, 100,000 social media followers, and successful annual events to its credit, Technext has grown to become one of the two topmost read tech news platforms with significant
revenue growth.

David has 10 years of cognate experience in branding, digital communications, content strategy, and tech journalism. During this period, he has offered communications consulting services to key industry leaders and corporate organizations in the technology, banking, and support services sectors.He has a Master’s Degree in English Language from the University of Lagos and a number of other professional certifications from Babson College, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Ausso Leadership Academy, and Google News.
