Dr. Ashibogwu's career has been marked by a profound interest in the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital media within communication sectors.

 As an acclaimed Digital Communications Expert, Dr. Ashibogwu specializes in Crisis Management tools' strategic deployment, particularly in Online Reputation Management, Planning, and Measurement. He has held pivotal roles, notably as the 10th National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) from 2016 to 2021. Within this capacity, he facilitated training on cybercrimes, security communications for military and paramilitary organizations. 

He is a driver of sustainability standards, corporate strategies, and operational objectives, effectively managing crises and shaping public opinion on policies.

Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to national development, serving on committees and as a consultant for local and international partners. Noteworthy engagements include his consultancy roles with the FCDO UK Facility for Oil Sector Transformation (FOSTER) from 2015 to 2021, and the European Union (EU) Niger Delta Dialogue Projects under the Academic Associates Peace Network from 2020 to 2021. Dr. Ashibogwu is also an accomplished author, having penned numerous articles for national and international publications, as well as eight fiction and nonfiction books.
